healthy is happy

im not a fitness master, or have perfect eating habits but i do know that after i have a dang good workout or eat a healthy meal i feel SO good. and happy!

i've always seen my body as a gift. since i see it that way I've always tried to treat it and nourish it the way it needs! my whole life i've been active, LOVED exercising and LOVED eating. i realized very quickly that i will not have my 17 year old body forever (unfortunately). so now i'm a lot more disciplined. over 18 months i managed to gain 20-25 pounds. no one believed me cause it was hidden under skirts and who knows where else. but during that time and afterwards i didn't feel good. or healthy. until i changed my eating habits and stayed motivated to work out every day and NEVER gave up, even when i could see no improvement in my body. i also had to remember that even when i'm eating right, exercising and feeling HEALTHY- that doesn't mean my body has to look picture perfect (whatever that is). we are all individuals, different. we may never look exactly how we want to-- but we can FEEL exactly how we want to.

healthy & happy. 

yes those fruit snacks, chocolate, chips, cereal, hamburgers- whatever it is may be calling your name...but just think of how you will feel after and then think again. we all fall, i fall probably every day from taking care of my body exactly how i should. BUT that doesn't mean i always have to mess up. it takes 3 weeks to break or make a habit. so be patient and stay strong. love yourself.
