pondering

This week I have been reflecting a lot on the temple/family/covenants/gospel (ha, its all one to me). I have been amazed an overwhelmed with the truthfulness of the knowledge that I have. Hunter and I went and did sealings the other morning and it hasn't left my mind since. I love doing sealings because I get to be in the same exact position, staring at my eternal companion, remembering the day we were sealed for time and all eternity. All eternity.

After we got out I said to Hunter, "wow, the blessings that we can receive are incredible." I realized how much potential we have as husband and wife and what our end goal is.

"If we are faithful to the covenants made there, we become inheritors not only of the celestial kingdom but of exaltation, the highest glory within the heavenly kingdom, and we obtain all the divine possibilities God can give." 

If that doesn't make your heart tingle, I don't know what will. I read insert of Elder Christofferson's talk (The Power of Covenants)

for my religion class and I can't get it off of my mind. It is simply amazing and out of love that we as humans can become like God and LIVE like God. I have a strong testimony of living our covenants, because if we aren't living them the way we should be, they do nothing, we cannot obtain all of the divine possibilities from God. Its really hard some days, but that is how life was meant to be. Remember what is most important, remember our goals and possibilities, and remember to have an eternal perspective.

Im trying every day to be a better wife for my sweet Hunter. I mess up a lot, and I have so much to work on. We have so much that we could do better. But I know that we will get there one day, together, hand in hand. If we keep the covenants we made together. That, brings me so much peace and comfort and HOPE. I don't know what I would do or who I would be without the Atonement. It heals me daily.
