a miracle

one of the greatest lessons i've learned in my life is that miracles are so real and are all around us daily. they can seem so small, but i always consider it a miracle. it is when i see the hand of God in my life.

Hunter and I had a miracle come through a very special experience this week. this was a miracle that seemed a little "larger" that we have felt so blessed to receive. i think one of the greatest reasons we received this miracle and blessing from God was because of our acting on what we were seeking for without expecting anything right away or at all, if it be God's will. we fasted, we prayed, we searched on our own, and tried our best to find what we were looking for. it all worked out so smoothly and we feel very blessed to know and feel God's love and care for us.

as we were reading in the book of mormon in 1 nephi last night, i thought that it was the perfect time to read this chapter after our experience we had. its when nephi is commanded to build a ship and all of his brothers are just bagging on him, doubting him and telling him there is no way he can do it. this chapter is so powerful.

i asked hunter as we were reading, " why is it SO difficult for all of us as members to keep the commandments when we know that Heavenly Father will bless us with so much? " we are told over and over and over again to just keep the commandments and it will all work out! we will return to live with him again. then as we kept reading, this verse answered it perfectly.

45. "ye are swift to do iniquity but slow to remember the Lord your God..."

i feel like if we just simply REMEMBER Him and follow him easier than we fall into temptation we will see so many more blessings in our lives!
