NYC

i had the most wonderful opportunity to go back to new york to visit my mission, show my mom and sisters around, and explore manhattan! seriously, i was SO excited for this. and it ended up being a very fun adventure! ya know...pretending that i knew exactly what i was doing haha. at least i kind of know how to read a map ;) we had a lot of laughs and got to experience a lot of NYC!

My first taxi ride. They were all piled in the back too scared to sit in the front with our driver. hahah

"will you accept this rose?" at the MoMA- i wish i had pictures or video footage to show the true experience at this lovely museum...pretty sure its the place we laughed the hardest the whole trip. we are NOT art people.

we brought a selfie stick...and had a little too much fun with it :)

Little Italy! (see the sign in the background)

9-11 Memorial- such a cool place. we didn't even realize it until later, but we were there on memorial day weekend!

Tony's

i feel like we just ate amazing food half the time

day 2. sums up how we get around-- this map. me trying to figure out where the heck we are. and subways.

great way to start the day viewing the temple

Central Park! where we almost got mugged. once again, the selfie stick. this is probably pic #17

when you ask someone to take a pic in from to the statue and central park and they cut off half the setting. thanks.

the Rockefeller Center. there was no way i was going to the top of that thing.

the guy got mad at us for slowing down the crowd and line. sorry, we needed a pic with the sign!

bus rides
it was a tad crowded

after a lot of hassle and sliding credit cards and an old woman almost flying over my handle bars, we made it to the other side of the bridge!

then we treated ourselves to some delicious Grimaldi's

So the East River Ferry gave us quite the trip... we ended up stranded on Governors Island. It was so pretty so i wasn't mad.
and we got some yummy Wafels and Dinges

China Town! Got my knock off Michael Kors bag don't worry

just a little bit of new york for ya...

best, cutest restaurant ever. MaxBrenner's

central park again
empire state bldg at night is my fav

Of course i had to have a bagel from NY for breakfast.

Sunday was the day we got to go out to Long Island and visit my mission. It was by far my favorite day. It felt so happy and loving to go back to my NY family. They were all so loving and welcoming as usual and i didn't want to leave them again! I am so grateful for the opportunity i had to go back. And so so grateful i was blessed enough to have a Mission President and his wife as my parents there who taught me so much and inspired me to reach my potential. I love each of them with all my heart!

this was the first time i've left hunter since he left on his mission. i was a little scared and didn't want to do it. by the time sunday rolled around i was past ready to be home with him again! never going anywhere without him again. hold us to that! :)

thank you NY, you will forever have a chunk of my heart.
